HiComp's HIBARS product manages the HIBACK backup utilities installed
on a network of HP systems and can be used to define the backup
strategies for each system node. There needs to be only one copy of
HIBARS installed on the backup server to control and administer the
entire group of systems running HIBACK.
HIBARS's menu driven interface can be used for central point backup
administration of a large network of systems. HIBARS can automatically
schedule HIBACK and check the status of the HIBACK utility. It can
automatically run alternative in cases of non-responsive systems and
drives. HIBARS uses a relational database to log the backup details for
comprehesive reports of what was stored, by whom, when, where the files
is and more. A super directory contain the directory of all the
systems in a single table for the ability to quickly retrive files.
